Blogher 2011 Shout Out

“I awoke this morning with devout thanksgiving for my friends, the old and the new.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Blogher 2011 Shout Out!

I have always believed gratitude is one of the few keys to success.

This weekend, I had the pleasure of attending a conference at the Marriot San Diego Convention Centre, in California. As a newbie “business Blogger” (someone who runs a business and blogs.) I was impressed with so many aspects of the weekend, the multitude of details so well executed that I decided, in honor of the thousands of wonderful bloggers I met, chatted and laughed with that I would give a  shout out to “all things Fabulous”!

Here are some of the highlights that deserve recognition and thanks!

#1. The Organizers – Wow! What a fantastic job. You provided clearly outlined agendas, site paths and stations, a detailed map of the venue and exceptional staffing. You even included post monitors that kept us from loosing our way. There were a variety of interesting speakers and panelists and many outstanding sponsors. Kudos to you and all your hard work. The weekend was a huge success.

#2.  The Venue –  The San Diego Marriot & Convention Centre, What a perfect choice. It was a lovely area with gorgeous views and close to amenities. They have a “fab” staff, great rooms and my favourite, AMAZING food! (no detail left to chance).

#3.  The Sponsors – Thank you for appreciating the voice of bloggers everywhere.  Your generosity, cheerful dispositions and “great swag” was truly the talk of the town. Thank You!

#4. The Bloggers – The ones I had an opportunity to meet and share with.  You welcomed me with open arms. You communicated freely, provided help when I needed it and encouraged opportunities to make connections, I had a great time. It was a pleasure to have met you. Thank you for making Blogging such a joy.

#5.  New Friends – For me this is the most challenging to articulate adequately. I met new people with a common interest, the love of writing. Friendly fun and fabulous is an awesome combination. These are bonds I will treasure for ever.  Thank You Dinner Pals! You are all Rockstars!

Why did I attend this conference?

I am a lover of writing.

I love to learn, and to meet new people, and this was a perfect event to do both. I attended:

a)      In an effort to improve my skills and services.

b)      To support my partners within the industry

c)      To bring home knowledge – so I can better share with my blog readers

d)      To encourage other “business bloggers” and to promte the world of blogging.

This was a well planned, wonderfully run, but above all, an exhilarating, fun conference.

Thank You!!!!!

Now,

Take a Bow!
